South Slough National Estuarine Reserve from Hinch Bridge on Winchester Creek near Charleston, Oregon. Low tide when we launched so had to navigate through a slough with some shallow spots. By the time we returned on the incoming tide, it was much higher and we paddled back in Winchester Creek a bit. Beautiful back bay and lovely solitude
Conditions
The launch spot is on a tidal creek. There are times at certain low tides when it’s too shallow.
