Trip Overview

The Noire (Black) River​ is a remote river located in Western Quebec and flows into the Ottawa River near the village of Davidson. The river is relatively small and the terrain alternates between Canadian Shield rock and sand. This spectacular whitewater canoe route is filled with breathtaking views, wildlife and classic class 1, 2 and 3 rapids. While it is a river that allows participants to believe that they are traveling in secluded wilderness, the Noire also offers numerous access points in case the need arises, allowing for effective risk management.

You will paddle a total of 63kms over 5 days / 4 nights to the Black River Inn. With huge sandy beach campsites on every bend of this meandering river you'll have lots of options of where to set up camp for the night. Enjoying lots of time for fishing, swimming, eating and just enjoying the time together in the wilderness.
