43 acre earthen dam reservoir/lake. No restroom facilities. A pretty lake with lots of fish and some shoreline fisherpeople. Encirlcled by woods, houses not visible. A Fairfax County Park but without meaningful access, as the primitive carry-in for boats is arduous. Public parking at 8853 Hooes Road leads uphill 400 paces to the dam near Gala Knoll Circle, then a steep incline 210 paces down ending with big rocks and nowhere soft to launch. Access to better launch sites are via private property, so beware: 1) Daum Court 2) Golden Sunset Lane, 300 paces uphill from a nice launch area with a locked gate to make it unreachable by car 3) Jeffrey, 500 steep paces to meadow, needs a canoe cart. Summer shoreline access is limited by overgrowth. Trail around lake is mostly paved and suitable for biking, except for 3/4 mile natural surface on the north end of the lake. Trail is a little hilly on the south and west side of the lake.
