Trip Overview

This is the #1 social kayaking trip and the perfect 1-day kayaking adventure in the City of ATL! Launch kayaks at Johnson Ferry boat launch (NOC location), paddle 4-miles to Cochran Shoals and Powers Island (another NOC location), then paddle another 4-miles to Paces Mill Boat Launch, passing along the way, I-285 bridge, 1-2 Class Rapids Devil's Racecourse, Jumping Rock area, Long Island shoals, Whitewater dog park, I-75 bridge, and finally the boat launch at Paces Mill.

PART 1: WINDY FLOAT 4-miles to POWERS ISLAND Island, caught a couple fish. NOISE REDUCED due to high winds.

PART 2: ACTION-PACKED paddling through DEVIL'S Racecourse Shoals and CRAZINESS at JUMPING ROCK area. Regular sound returns!

PART 3: Final shoals, WHITEWATER action past dog park, under I-75 bridge, on to Paces Mill boat launch.
