Trip Overview

Ellis River; Andover, Maine: Route 120 to Covered Bridge Road - Shallow water good for tubing or paddleboard but long sections of river are impassable due to lots of downed trees, portaging required in difficult terrain. Trip took 6 hours by kayak and should have only taken half the time had it been clear of tree debris. Would not recommend this trip unless you plan on camping out in a boat and bring a chainsaw.
