Trip Overview
I still consider myself a novice kayaker. This river is pretty tame. Most of it is okay for a float but there are areas that get too shallow. There's really only one good rapid about 3/4 of the way through.
It's good for a Sunday afternoon and will take about 3 hours to complete.
Accommodations:
There are campgrounds all around and hotels and B&B's are in Franklin or Highlands along with nice sites, waterfalls and other things to pass a day or weekend.
Directions:
Once in Franklin, take 28/64 towards Highlands. Turn right on to Old Highlands Road and go to the Campground to put in.
