A clockwise route starting from the SE side of the island. There are a few starting points for this trip, the one we chose was the closest the road bridge. Several ferry glides are required to avoid strong river currents, these crossing are short but fierce effort is required. Lunch stop was at Parc-nature du Bois-de-L'ile Bizard on an easy to access rock ledge, close to the viewing platform. This was a sheltered spot from the wind. The highlight was the run down the Rapides Lalement, a fast moving current. Watchout for the cable ferry, it wont stop.
The current eases for a short time, with several more ferry glides before the last stretch back to the car.
