Staying at cane creek state park campground. Paddled east park of lake along shoreline. Was hoping to access Bayou Bartholomew from lake but at spillway is a 30 drop to bayou. I talked with park staff and they said you can access bayou from gravel road so I’ll will try another day. Cane creek lake is beautiful and has a slight breeze. Will paddle again later in week. Park staff did say there are about 9 alligators on the lake, which doesn’t bother me.
