Buford Dam-McGinnis Ferry | 8.3 Miles | Kayaking & Fishing For Brown & Rainbow Trout

A self-supported trip created by RedKayakGuy

Trip Overview

BROWNTOWN's Mayor SIDEKICK JOE bags a bunch of Brown Trout and turns into a Fishing GORILLA in one of the best TROUT fishing sections on the Chattahoochee River. With beautiful ambient music background, we Kayak 8.3 miles from Buford Dam (mile 348.5), past 20 ROCK (class 2 rapid), Historic Settles Bridge, Pointe Park, finishing at McGinnis Ferry (mile 339.5). Perfect Autumn day. ENJOY our adventure!

I'm attaching a movie I made from this trip. It's on my YouTube Channel @RedKayakGuy-RKG along with playlists for 48-miles of the lower Chattahoochee River (Buford Dam to Paces Mill), 6-miles of the Chestatee River (Dahlonega, GA), 39-miles of the Etowah River (Dawsonville, Ball Ground, Canton, Euharlee, Kingston, GA), and 7-miles of the Toccoa River (Blue Ridge, GA).

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Thanks, and I'll see you on the river!
