Requires forest service day/year pass. There is NO fee station at this location, so find and pay well before showing up here.
Easy launch into gentle water that has a current ~ 2 mph
For those who paddle, head upstream about 10-15 minutes on the left side till the current is too strong, then head to the right side for a view of the very turbulent water far ahead--remnants of Benham Falls, which is several river bends beyond that.
Enjoy a float or a paddle downstream to the calm takeout just before Dillon Falls. Hey, when you see the first lefthand warning sign of falls 1/4 mile ahead, move over to the left shore and you will be fine.
