This is a cheap yet sturdy and good kayak for teaching little ones. I picked up one 2 years ago when my grandchildren were 2 and 4 and they actually like it a lot. They use it every summer when they visit we take it down to the lake and they paddle all over. I got it in green and my granddaughter can paddle really well and get herself back on when she goes off (which is a lot because she thinks it's fun to jump off) and drag it around on her own. My grandson will have more time with it this summer. I wasn't sure at first I knew I wanted to start kayaking with them since they visit me every summer and we live near the lake and I'm glad I did this is one of my better purchases.
