Limited use so far, mostly reviewing delivery time and communication and initial impression of boat.

Have just taken delivery of 2 TRAK 2.0 kayaks, so here is my current purchasing experience.

First contact with TRAK was late October 2024.
Did a demo paddle day in Seattle November 23.

Ddecided to purchase a week or two later, and ordered for the Jan 2025 Delivery.

We took delivery of both kayaks at the end of Jan as promised.
Fedex beat up the boxes, but everything inside was fine. Both boats arrived in perfect condition, along with the Greenland paddles and some accessories. Hip pads were delayed, but I knew they were backordered, and they arrived 2 weeks after the boats.

Communication as been very good to excellent. Most emails answered within a day, many the same business day.

The boats themselves are great. Manufacturing quality, fit, and finish and detailing are all excellent. Assembly and disassembly goes smoothly. Feels just as fast as my Necky Elaho, and the adjustable rocker makes a really substantial difference in paddling characteristics that is easy to feel and make use of. That feature is rather amazing to me. That and the portability/flyability are the standout features to me. Sprayskirt, dry bags, sea sock all are very well made and work well. Be careful putting on the sprayskirt, it's easy to get the all-black-webbing grab loop accidentally tucked inside when putting on the sprayskirt. I'm going to add a brightly colored ball to the end of the grab loop.

Hi Everyone,

I’m new to this forum, and don’t want to feed any drama, but since I have just taken delivery of 2 TRAK 2.0 kayaks I thought I would provide current information on the kayaks and delivery and service.

I’ve been in communication with TRAK since the last week of October 2024. Most emails are answered within a day. Longest took a week when the individual I was in communication with was away on a trip, but I knew that he would be out ahead of time. Since the beginning of 2025 communication has been very prompt, almost all responses within 24 hours and frequently the same business day.

We took delivery of both kayaks at the end of Jan, and TRAK was very good about working around our travel schedule so we could be sure to be home when they arrived.

The boats themselves are great. Fit finish and detailing are all excellent. Have assembled and repacked them a few times (which goes very smoothly; the you-tube videos are worth watching) and paddled them and they perform really well. Feels just as fast as my Necky Elaho, and the adjustable rocker is amazing. I think the adjustable rocker and the portability/flyability are the standout features. My wife and I have now paddled them in mostly windy rather cold conditions and they are comfortable, stable, track well, and sit nicely on edge. (FYI we are 5' and 5'8" and 120 and 140#). The more we paddle them, the more we like them.

I can't speak to durability yet, but so far quality of construction looks very good to me.

One other thing, of course I asked about the negative information and supply chain/delayed delivery issues before ordering. TRAK was very upfront about the problems they have had, and my experience, I think, suggests that they have corrected those issues now.
