I had use of a Scrambler for a short time while at a long term rental, six outings in total mostly on lakes or calm bays. I liked the boat overall. It was very stable and user friendly, tracked well but was quite slow. I found using a steady medium effort stroke let me cruise okay without huge effort but setting no speed records, any additional effort seemed to result in minimal gains. For me at 200lbs it still was a dry ride with a little water at my feet.

Picked up a used Prodigy 12 early this year and paddled it quite a bit. I like it a lot overall, tracks great, stable, smooth and quiet on the water. Huge cockpit makes for easy in and out, but a bit of a wet ride as your paddle will drip on you if your drip rings aren't perfect. Found a Pungo skirt that works ok for keeping this type of water out. Comfortable seat for me. Rear hatch has not leaked at all and provides lots of storage. Overall I would say it is one of the top rec kayaks in it's category.

Picked up a used Conduit and have really enjoyed it. It tracks well especially considering the size, it is light but solid feeling, and comfortable with a padded seat. Longish cockpit (40") makes for easy in and out. Flat bottom and length make for easy maneuvers on the river too.

I have had this kayak for several years now. Always surprised at how well it paddles. It does everything, the lake, rivers, surf (Lake Michigan), swimming raft for the kids. Dry ride in calm conditions. Only possible negative would be minimal straps and no cupholder.
