The Tracer 165 by Hurricane is a great all around boat for river, lake & ocean touring. Even though it is sensitive when tracking without the skeg, once the skeg is lowered, it tracks true...straight as an arrow. This kayak is fairly fast & has a little extra room in the cockpit for ease of entry & exit while still allowing you a good fit for edging & bracing. This boat is lightweight for its length as it only weighs 46 lbs. & comfortable enough to stay on the water for the day. I have had this boat for several years & it has proven itself many times & got me home safely each trip.

After paddling the Monterey 14, I found it to be a fun boat to paddle for a day on the water. It tracks well with the skeg in the down position & wanders with the skeg up. The seat is comfortable with limited leg room i.e., the design is for paddlers under 6' tall. Quality appears to be good with nice styling. The boat is a bit over priced at the MSRP of $899.99.

The Pathfinder is a great multi-purpose boat that is very responsive. It is great for weekend getaways, solo daytrips, or exploring. Fairly light weight and easy to handle for the whole family. I have enjoyed mine for over four years.

A great buy for $299. This sit on top kayak is FUN on all kinds of water-seashore surfing, lake, fishing, snorkling, etc. Easy to paddle, very stable, self bailing, unsinkable. You will need a seat/backrest though to make it more comfortable as the plastic molding is hard and it gets warm after being in the sun awhile. Great Family play boat!
